Elisa Akin is a multimedia artist and flutist whose connection to the arts began as something personal and has since evolved into a broader mission. After facing chronic illness throughout her childhood, Elisa found healing and expression through art. This experience shaped her belief that every child, regardless of financial circumstances or physical disabilities, deserves access to creative opportunities.Driven by this conviction, she founded Art and Soul, where she teaches free art classes, and conducts fundraisers/art supply drives.
Some of Elisa’s honors include recognition from New York City Mayor Eric Adams for her impact through Art and Soul; being a Scholastic Art & Writing Awards Gold and Silver Key Awardee; having her work displayed at the Metropolitan Museum of Art as part of the Scholastic Gold Key Exhibition; being selected twice as a Teen Copyist at The Met; and being invited to perform at Carnegie Hall as a flutest. She is an upcoming student of NYU's class of 2030.
